Biography
Deepti Mittal obtained her B.Tech. degree in Electronics Engg. from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute Kanpur in 1999, M.Tech. (Hons.) Degree in Electronics & Communication Engg. from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture &Technology, Pantnagar in 2004 and Ph.D. Degree from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2011. She started her teaching profession since September 1999. She is presently working as associate professor in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Department, TIET, Patiala, India. She taught different UG/PG courses related to electronics and instrumentation engineering/electronics and communication engineering during her more than 20 years teaching experience. She has guided 13 Master’s theses and 3 PhD thesis. She has 19 research publications in SCI/SCIE journals, 15 in other international journals, and 10 in international/national conference proceedings. She is serving the institute as biomedical lab-in-charge, biomedical capstone project; and coordinator student counsellor EIC. She has also worked as Coordinator of Industry and Alternate project, UG coordinator, Souvenir In-charge etc. She is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education, The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers and Meteorology Society of India. Her professional research interests are medical image processing, digital signal and image processing, pattern recognition, soft computing and medical instrumentation. She has worked on ultrasound, CT, MRI and Retinal fundus images.
