Biography
Dr. Kumar is a Certified Energy Manager cum Auditor (Bureau of Energy Efficiency). He is the fellow and chartered engineer with Institute of Engineers (IE) India. He had developed an independent research center while being worked as Coordinator of Energy Elite Club. He is actively working as Principal Investigator for the university funded project on “Power and renewable energy management at TIET campus through strategic auditing and benchmarking” Dr. Kumar has worked as the Managing Guest Editor for the Special Issue on “Innovative Technologies for Micro-grid and Smart-grid Systems” of Computers and Electrical Engineering, Elsevier Journal. Dr. Kumar has also been served as a reviewer for reputed journals and conferences including; IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IET-Generation, Transmission and Distribution, Elsevier-Electrical Power and Energy Systems, Computers and Electrical Engineering, Springer-Electrical Engineering, IJITWE IGI Global USA, JCIT IGI Global USA, 12th IEEE INDICON-2015 and 2018. He has published several papers/books/book chapters with various journals/conferences of repute including IEEE, IET, Elsevier, Taylor and Frances etc. He has worked as Session Chair and reviewer for ICICS-2016 for the track of power, energy and control. He has also received Best Paper Award during ICICS-2016 International Conference. Dr. Kumar is the editor of a book “Handbook of Research on Power and Energy System Optimization” with, IGI Global, USA. He has delivered expert lectures on Energy Efficiency in Electrical Utilities in various institutions. His area of current interest includes: Energy efficiency in electrical utilities, optimization in power system’s operation and planning, distributed generation, load management and energy auditing, computational intelligence, Innovative technologies for micro-grid and smart-grid systems, Internet of Energy (IoE).
