Biography
Ashish Kumar Gupta received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from PDPM-Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design, and Manufacturing, Jabalpur. He is currently associated with Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala (formally Thapar University) with a capacity of Assistant Professor in the Electrical and computers program of the Electrical and Instrumentation department. His teaching interest includes compiler design, analysis and design of algorithms, data structures and algorithms, Unix Systems programming, machine learning, and image processing. He has published several research papers in peer- reviewed international journals. He has been a reviewer for several journals such as IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, The Visual Computer, and Multimedia tools and applications. His research interests include image processing, salient object detection, attention mechanism, and deep learning.
