Biography: Janardan Kundu is currently working as an Assistant Professor-Research in the Department of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), Patiala, Punjab since 14th August 2025. Before joining TIET Patiala, he was working as a National Post-Doctoral Fellow (NPDF) at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, India. He has also worked as a Project Scientist at IISc Bengaluru during 2023-2024. He has worked on a globally renowned MagLev-Cobra Project under the guidance of Prof. Richard M. Stephan at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His academic visits in foreign countries include USA, Brazil, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and Netherlands. He has 4 years teaching experience at Govt. College of Engineering and Technology, Bikaner recruited by MHRD during 2018-2021. He has guided 7 M. Tech students and the reviewer of a few reputed SCI journals and transactions. He has organised a few National/International Workshops/FDPs/Expert lectures on Electromagnetic Levitation in his previous Institute. He has attended almost 5 FDPs, 10 orientation workshops, and different industrial and research training on future skills technologies: robotics and automation, advanced pedagogy & digital tools, etc. by different Govt. agencies e.g., NASSCOM, AICTE, DST, IISc Bengaluru, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, etc.
